The staff was amazing. My husband passed away at a local hospital and we lived 2 hours away in a different state. Christy went above and beyond to answer any questions and make sure the process was as easy as possible under the circumstances.

We had a very unfortunate experience at the time of my son's death. We were confused as to how to proceed and were referred to Ohio Cremations. Their show of compassion and concern were comforting at a sad time. They went beyond helpful and brought the ashes and documents to their Ontario facility to save us travel to Columbus. They have been in regular contact to follow up if they can be of further assistance. This is a very caring group.

My father passed away in February so I contacted Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society to make arrangements for him. The staff there are amazingly helpful and supportive! The prices vary, depending on what you’re looking for, but we were very pleased with the price we paid for the services we received! My father is a Veteran, so they arranged a Military Honors Ceremony for him as well. When The Chaplain wasn’t able to make the ceremony, due to illness, one of the staff was more than happy to read the prayer service and my Father’s Obituary. I would definitely recommend Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society to anyone looking for Cremation and Memorial Services for their loved ones.

December 2023 my husband and I scheduled an appointment to make prearrangements for both of us. We sat with Samantha and she helped us with our decisions. There was never any pressure or attempts to upsell as we had already decided to have the basic/least expensive plans. She even helped us to have a living will for my husband notarized at no additional expense. Little did we know that we would need their assistance so soon, on February 16, 2024 Jim passed away. I called to let them know of his passing and spoke with Christy. She was so kind and comforting and listened to my rambling as I am sure my thoughts were very scattered that day. She walked me through the steps. Upon learning that he was an organ donor she advised how this may affect the timing of our private viewing. Since he passed on a Friday, she gave me Thalia’s name and number to reach her over the weekend if I had any questions or concerns. I called at least twice over the weekend and Thalia was also so very kind and patient with me. On the day of Jim’s visitation Christy made sure I had plenty of time to spend with Jim and had things set up so nicely. When it came time to bring Jim home, I once again sat with Christy and she took her time talking to me. It was as if I was talking to a very close and dear friend. A couple of weeks after his passing they reached out again to see if I was doing alright. I have never had a traditional funeral home do that. My experience with The Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society and these ladies has shown me that we made the very best decision when we walked in those doors that December day. It has also given me peace of mind knowing that when my time comes, my children, grandchildren and siblings will have the experience I want them to have. No worries in making arrangements, no pressure to make things bigger and better but more importantly surrounded by ladies that make you feel like part of their family. Thank you ladies for all that you have done for me and Jim and in the future when you help my family with my passing.

The communication from the staff is excellent. Christy made the process as comfortable as possible while we made arrangements. My siblings and I can’t say thank you enough to the staff at Ohio cremation and memorial services.

These ladies at Ohio Cremation and memorial society were top notch! From the first moment I entered the building, greeted at the front door by Samantha, the time she took with me on what I wanted for my husband. They even helped with writing and proofing my obituary. I never felt rushed and the care and respect they had with handling my husband's remains was so wonderful! They even checked up on me a couple weeks later to make sure I was doing OK and offered referrals for counseling services if I needed them. Hopefully I don't need them anytime soon, but when I do I will definitely be using them again. I have told everyone I know if they are interested in this for their loved ones to definitely use Ohio Cremation.

Christy welcomed us and was truly genuine. She walked us through the process and explained/answered all of our questions. They loved hearing our story/memories and even checked up to see how I was doing a few weeks later.

The wonderful folks here made the process simple and understandable. They explained everything and allowed me more time to focus on Dad's well being. The Chapel is roomy enough for medium sized gatherings. Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society can handle larger requirements as well as smaller, personal needs. Let them handle the details so you can focus on your family.

I am so glad I found this place! When my father died I called a more traditional funeral home and was appalled at the cost. Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society not only had reasonable prices, but they took their time with me and handled everything. They even made sure I could have easier access to my father's belongings at the hospital. Christy answered all my questions in a very timely manner. They put me at ease and made the difficult process so much easier. They even checked in on me at the 1 month anniversay of his death. I will forever reccommend them to anyone seeking simple cremation for their loved one.

I called 4 places before deciding to use Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society. The level of compassion was most important. When my husband passed away in October, I had no idea how to go about honoring his wish for cremation. Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society was recommended to me through the clergy at his Hospice provider for which I will be forever grateful. I contacted and met with another local funeral home in Columbus but when I met with Christy I felt an instant connection. She treated me like I was part of her family. She listened to my questions, handled all the details, walked me through each process and offered options to help me create a unique and beautiful memorial service that celebrated my husband's life. Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society was recommended to me by my Mom's Hospice provider at the time of her death. In a fragile state when I called, I was treated with compassion and received immediate assistance, as well as detailed price information. In addition to reasonable flexibility regarding the cremation timeline, they handled all the paperwork for the death certificate and notice to Social Security. These services, as well as online publication of the obituary (which they offered to assist in writing), were all-inclusive in the price. (A well-respected cremation provider I'd initially contacted quoted a considerably higher base price and added charges for these necessary services.) Ohio Cremation & Memorial also carries a lovely selection of reasonably priced urns, scattering boxes, and mementos, though there was no pressure on me to make a purchase. In conclusion, I couldn't have asked for a better or more comforting experience during an incredibly difficult time. I have already recommended Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society to others and I'm designating them in my final directives.

After the sudden death of my son, who lived in another city, I reached out to Ohio cremation and Memorial Society after searching online in Columbus Ohio. They treated me with such kindness and thoughtfulness. They helped me through each step of the Cremation plan and gave me so much more information then I would have even thought to ask. After my fathers recent passing, we wanted to honor his wishes with cremation. My mother and I met with Christy, who was so kind and compassionate and understanding in this stressful time for us. My father was 83 and had been ill for the past year, and my mother, being 80, was already a little stressed out and his passing only added to it. But Christy was so kind and explained the process, our options, and helped us through the paperwork in such a manner that we were both put totally at ease. Ohio Cremation handled all of the paperwork for the death certificate, helped us put together a very nice obituary for my father and did everything with the highest level of professionalism, as well as compassion and care. We are so grateful for their excellent service in our time if need. Thank you.

Christy and her team provided exceptional service as our family planned for my mother’s memorial service. Christy was very professional and compassionate as she guided us through the myriad of cost effective services the company offers. The facility offered a beautiful exterior with a traditional area for families and guests. The service provided far exceeded my expectations during this time of grief. My experience with Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society was very good under the circumstances (the unexpected death of my son). Christy was professional but showed genuine sympathy and interest in our family’s circumstances. She took time to explain everything about the services offered with no pressure to make decisions until we were ready. Everything was then done in a very caring manner that made a painful situation a little more comforting. I feel my son was treated with the respect he deserved at an affordable cost.

We chose a prepaid plan for my mother. It is one of the best things you can do for yourself and your loved ones. When the time comes you will consider it a blessing. The process was simple and the people there were sympathetic and understanding. They eased the burden I was under. I would use their services again and I recommend OC&MS to friends.

I highly recommend Ohio Crematorium- my experience with them has been very positive. Shawn Frilot is my fiance; I suppose I should say that he was my fiance. He passed away at the end of February, the 23rd to be exact. Shawn had cancer. It wasn't entirely unexpected, but he lived like he loved life and defied death. He didn't talk much about his funeral plans, didn't care for any funeral service. He wanted to be cremated. When Shawn's illness became aggressive, I investigated a few services and immediately gravitated toward OCMS because of the great reviews and the aura. They seemed to have a compassionate, honest, genuine attitude. I was definitely pleased to find out that they were completely knowledgeable, which was very reassuring in this situation. Christy was fantastic when we met her to go over the details of the cremation. It was peaceful, and even humorous at the right time. She was so caring. Since our interaction that day, Christy and Elizabeth have kept in touch with me to make sure that I am well. I appreciate them and OCMS so much. So glad I have had them to help us through this...

Absolutely wonderful to work with these people. Everyone was so kind and helpful. They called several times during and even after the process to keep me updated and to check on me personally. I’m so happy that someone at the hospital recommended Ohio Cremation & Memorial to take care of my Dad. The service and kindness that we received was incredible. A death of a loved one is so incredibly difficult and they led me through all of the necessary steps to take care of my Dad. My father had purchased a cremation package in 2000… he had given me a card and said if and when you need just give them a call.. Beth and the team at Ohio Cremation & Memorial were so understanding and helpful.. from the gentleman who arrived to transport, Beth handling special requests and the gentle manner she has was very comforting.. Elizabeth did follow ups to check on how I was doing and offer any kind of help that was needed.. this team is professional and still personable.. I highly recommend their services..
